U2i – You Two Innovation, käyttökielessä ja teksteissä U2i, on ehtinyt paljon, vaikka yrityksen historia on lyhyt.
– Perustimme U2i:n syksyllä 2009. Tästä lähti määrätietoinen ylösajo, jonka aikana varmistimme hyvät valmistus- ja jakelusopimukset, loimme oman suojatun tuotemerkin (FIR65º), joka jalkautettiin tuotepakkauksia myöten – luonnollisesti, toimitusjohtaja Petri Pirnes toteaa.

– FIR on osa tulevaisuutta esim. erilaisissa toimintaympäristöissä, joista mm. Medical-puolen teknologiset tuoteratkaisut ovat yksi suuntaus, johon yrityksemme on tuotekehityksessä keskittynyt.
FIR65º Medicalin ensimmäinen tuote on tarkoitus saada tuotteistettua markkinoille Q2/2012 aikana.
-Lisäksi olemme kehittämässä mm. sähköautoteollisuuteen tuotesovellusta, jossa FIR-teknologiaa hyödynnetään, kuvaa Pirnes FIR-maailman tulevaisuutta.
Paljon testausta ja positiivista palautetta
Yrityksen FIR- teknologiaa on testattu ja sitä testaa mm. Jyväskylän Yliopisto, Kuortane

U2i on nuori yritys, mutta toimitusjohtaja Pirnes tietää minne he ovat matkalla:

– Parhaillaan etsimme ja kartoitamme kansainvälistyvän kasvumme tueksi osaajia niin verkostoon kumppaneiksi kuin osakkuudesta kiinnostuneita tahoja, sanoo Pirnes.
Lähiajat näyttävät mihin U2i ehtii, alku on ollut menoa lämpimässä myötätuulessa. Nähtäväksi jää mikä maa seuraavaksi lämpenee FIR65º brändille.

U2i – You Two Innovation, known as U2i, has been very productive, even though the company’s history is short.
“We established U2i in the autumn of 2009. During the start-up phase we set up everything, including making excellent manufacturing and distribution agreements, registering our trademark (FIR65 º), and designing the product packaging” CEO Petri Pirnes says.
“The reception, for example for FIR65 º Q4/2011 sales turnover, has been warm and very positive,” glows Pirnes, who is very satisfied with the company’s brisk initial steps.

Why infrared technology?
“It’s the future. Infrared technology is coming like a tsunami, replacing led lamps and incandescent light bulbs,” declares Pirnes.
“The HUMAN Application business area focuses on consumer well-being and health promotion product solutions.
In addition to 300 Finnish distributors, Polish and Canadian businesses are already in full swing and technical contract filings are underway in five more EU countries,” confirms Pirnes.
“FIR is part of the future in several operating environments. For example, medical sector technology is one area the company focuses on developing product solutions.
“FIR65º, the first medical product, is expected to be manufactured ready for the market during Q2/2012.
“In addition, we are developing a product for the electric car industry in which FIR technology is utilized,” Pirnes describes the FIR-world future
Lots of testing and positive feedback
The Company’s FIR technologies have been tested by, as well as other organisations, the University of Jyväskylä, Kuortane Sports Institute Testing Lab, the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, and the Finnish Psoriasis Association.
“The results have been good, and further studies are being systematically instigated with our various research partners. Amongst others, we are currently negotiating with Pierre-Yves Cousteau and the Cousteau Foundation he represents, about the future development of the project,” reveals Pirnes.
U2i is a young company, but CEO Pirnes knows where it is heading to:
“We have infrared technology expertise, manufacturing capacity, and in addition to sales, the possibility of being a major regional employer in the future.
“Currently we are mapping and searching for more international talent, interested in supporting our growth, as network partners and shareholders.”
